A Showroom Space to Learn How to Enhance Your Kitchen

Sub-Zero and Wolf is firmly at the forefront of high-end, design and technology-led refrigeration and cooking appliances in the kitchen. For the newly opened showroom space in Surry Hills, Sydney, they’ve collaborated with celebrated multi-disciplinary designer Adele Bates to create a physical space that facilitates education, experimentation and in-depth consultation so that consumers and A+D professionals walk away with a complete understanding of the unique design possibilities of Sub-Zero and Wolf and how the range can complement, and indeed, enhance their kitchens, homes and lifestyles.

Join host Alice Blackwood as she takes a deep-dive into this project, with Adele, Andrew Mumford and James Moore of Sub-Zero & Wolf sharing their insights on how design facilitated a unique and ultra specific brief.

Speakers

Adele Bates

With over 14 years of experience as an Interior Designer, Adele is recognised for her passion and innovation by her clients and industry peers.

Adele is an active member within the design community and a council member within the Design Institute of Australia. Her experience lies in many project types from residential, multi-residential, hospitality, retail, workplace and education.

As the director of the practice she has created, she continues to create a truly collaborative and approachable environment for the team, clients and aligned consultants.

Adele believes in continually being inspired and approaches each project uniquely, ensuring it is well considered, well crafted and designed with purpose. Creating high quality design with longevity is the aim of the practice.

Andrew Mumford

With over 20 years experience in the major kitchen appliances industry, Andrew has been working with the Sub-Zero and Wolf brands since their launch in the Australian market in 2009 and was appointed Managing Director in 2016.

Andrew is passionate about Sub-Zero and Wolf and has been instrumental in the ongoing growth and development of the brands in Australia.

Alice Blackwood

Alice Blackwood is an editor, journalist, communications strategist and currently Editor of Indesign magazine. With over 10 years’ experience in architecture, design and media, Alice is a passionate supporter of the Australian design community, profiling the faces and forces behind top projects, innovative products and industry initiatives. “I think the Australian design community is one of the most talented and entrepreneurial in the world. I’m fascinated by all the moving parts – the businesses, the brands, the big-thinkers and everyday-doers – that come together to make up the Australia design industry.” Alice is an active member of the design and media community as a Moderator, MC, Judge, Commentator, Mentor and Advisor.
